Inner Threads is a podcast about healing, wholeness, growth, and connection. Hosted by counselors and practitioners with diverse backgrounds, the show explores how personal experience, professional practice, and spiritual inquiry intersect in everyday life.
Through thoughtful conversation and shared stories, the hosts reflect on themes such as nature, creativity, intention, community, and navigating difficult seasons. Rather than offering prescriptions or quick fixes, Inner Threads invites curiosity, presence, and an honest engagement with what it means to be human.

Our Hosts
Bert Nelson
Bert is a spiritual counselor, Buddhist minister, and energy medicine practitioner. He works with individuals navigating change, grief, identity, and questions of meaning, supporting clients in reconnecting with themselves and living with greater clarity and intention.
His approach is integrative and contemplative, drawing from Buddhist practice, transpersonal psychology, holistic counseling models, and nature-based wisdom. He is deeply interested in how science, philosophy, and consciousness studies inform healing, and how that healing is lived and embodied in everyday life and relationship.
Bert is also the Executive Director of Bright Raven Farms, a nonprofit conservation and education farm rooted in ecological stewardship, community care, and experiential learning. The work of the farm reflects his belief that healing, ethics, and responsibility extend beyond the individual and into how we live with the land and with one another.

Courtney Kaplan
Courtney Kaplan is a coach and founder of Iconic Leadership Coaching in Oakland, California offering transformational coaching for the design-minded. Her coaching integrates practical skills, somatic exercises and energetic change to help clients grow successfully and build a satisfying life. Clients find themselves with more access to peace, power and prosperity as they unwind old ways of thinking and step into new possibilities.
Courtney draws on her own experience of 30 years working in design and technology leadership to aid her clients in building more trust, influence and clarity in their lives. She has worked with clients from Google, Apple, MailChimp, Amazon, eBay, and Facebook and more. Beyond being committed to healing in her own life, Courtney is interested in how growth and healing allow people to show up for themselves and others in a fast-changing world.

Jessica Luke
Jessica Luke is a Spiritual Coach and Integrative Healing Practitioner, and the founder of The Well Grounded Soul and the 1440 Health Collective, a holistic healing center in Bethesda, Maryland. She works with individuals navigating transition, emotional complexity, and inner change, supporting them in reconnecting with their bodies, intuition, and deeper sense of truth.
Her work bridges the body, mind, and soul, weaving together somatic awareness, contemplative practice, and depth-oriented inquiry informed by her training in the Foundation of the Sacred Stream. Jessica is deeply interested in how healing unfolds not through fixing or bypassing, but through presence, honesty, and the courage and willingness to listen intuitively to what is being asked to be seen and held.
